The Senior Years at Good Shepherd are designed to empower students to realise their potential in a range of flexible and individualised pathways. Each student has the potential and capacity to enrich their work through the development of their gifts and abilities. We strive to tailor quality and authentic learning experiences to bring these gifts and abilities into fruition.
Good Shepherd offers an extensive number of co-curricular activities to support and extend their students’ learning in their curricular subjects. Students have the opportunity to participate in a significant number of sporting pursuits as well as academic and artistic endeavors. Students are supported by specialist teachers and coaches to ensure they get the most out of the time they invest in extending themselves with the benefits being realised both inside and outside the classroom.
The students, who will swim in competition ages from 11 year olds to 19 years olds, qualified for their events through representation at the recent QSS Regional Championships.

Good Shepherd Lutheran College principal, Mr Anthony Dyer, says the College could not be more proud.
“This is an impressive representation from one school at this level of competition; the result is a testament to the talent and dedication of the students, and support of parents and coaches,” said Mr Dyer.
Reflecting on the large number of swimmers from the College, Mr Dyer says swimming has been an integral part of both College’s curricular and extra-curricular sport over the years.
“At Good Shepherd we introduce swimming as a part of our program from Prep, so many of our students are getting the opportunity to experience swimming as a sport very early on in their schooling, and for some, competing becomes a natural progression,” said Mr Dyer.
“Once these students become competitive, many join the GS Aquatics Swim Club and train in one of the club’s squads and we can offer this all on campus.”
“The level of experience and expertise head coaches Peter Diamond and Brian Stehr offer is second to none, as they continually guide and nurture our swimmers through all of their events and competitions.”
“These students are training in the pool most days, early in the morning and after school so for them their success is the culmination of many, many hours of hard work.”
“The whole College community is behind our swimmers and we wish them all the best of luck in their respective races,” said Mr Dyer.
